Classic Army has set the bar for high end airsoft guns over the last couple years. They were the first company to offer airsoft guns with metal bodies for an affordable price. They have created a reputation for quality and enabled airsoft to flourish here in the United States.
The Classic Army M15A4 series of airsoft rifles are solidly constructed to with stand the rigors of field play. The upper and lower receiver of the body is constructed entirely from metal. The M15A4 series also features a metal one-piece outer barrel that eliminates the barrel wobble associated with plastic airsoft guns that have a multi-piece barrel. The internals of the M15A4 include steel gears, a metal hop-up, and a high speed/torque motor.
In addition the CA M15A4 CQB Seal has a retractable crane stock that can be adjusted for the users comfort and houses the custom battery pack. Instead of the standard handguard the CQB has a custom RIS handguard that will allow the user to mount accessories such as flashlights, lasers, vetical grips, etc. onto the rifle. In place of the standard carry handle is a flip-up rear sight and a detachable front sight that gives the user an unobstructed view when using various optics systems. 5.ICS CXP
The CXP .08 is ICS's latest weapon based off of their split gearbox M4 platform. This gun is expected to be released to distributors in about a month. This review is based off of the last run of pre-production models and therefore should reflect the final product. The CXP .08 is ICS's first M4 model that is not a replica of a real firearm. While based on the M4 platform, the CXP .08 features a custom ICS designed front end and stock. The design of this gun has been patented by ICS which insures you will be getting a unique gun.
The CXP.08 is the second overall shortest model in the ICS M4 line up, second only to the M4 pistol. Externally it features an ICS designed collapsible stock and a short (pistol length) front end. The front end is high quality ABS and aluminum, and the receiver and stock are both full metal.
The inner barrel on this gun is a standard ICS M4 Pistol barrel. The hopup on this gun is a standard ICS M4 hopup that is accessed by pulling back the charging handle. The adjustment dial rotates up and down to adjust the hopup. Gearbox wise, this is a standard ICS M4. That means it has a Turbo 3000 motor and is compatible with 99% of the after market internal parts around. The only exceptions being the gearbox casing and the anti-reversal latch. The wiring is nice and flexible, yet well shielded. The fuse has quick disconnect plugs to allow for quick fuse swaps.
